Established in 2001, East Rand Cake Board is a family owned and run business based in Benoni Gauteng. We supply into the wholesale and retail baking industry countrywide. We manufacture a comprehensive range of cakeboards suitable to any cake connoisseur's needs. Our boards also have other fun uses such as for party platters, gift trays,place mats and drinks coasters. Cakeboards are available in sizes ranging from 3 inches to 24 inches either round or square. Rectangles and customised boards are available on request and subject to quotation. Our foil is a beautiful Maple Leaf pattern. All our products are manufactured under strict supervision by our expert staff, totally safe for food use and produced using good manufacturing principles. We pride ourselves in the quality and safety of our products and the expertise of our team.
Please Note that although we are the cakeboard experts we do not bake ourselves, that side of things we leave to the proffessionals.
Because our boards are individualy handmade to very strict specifications we operate on an order basis only and lead time on order is 7 days. We do not supply walk-ins. Please feel free to contact us for further information.
1. 3,2mm Masonite - This is a strong board commonly used for all types of cakes but also very suitable for ice cream cakes. Available in rounds, squares, rectangles and customised sizes. Colors: Silver, Gold, Black, White all with a Maple Leaf Pattern.
2. 10mm Thick Standard Board - This board is more commonly used for birthday or wedding cakes that have a trim or ribbon around the board. Available in rounds, squares, rectangles and customsied sizes. Colors: Silver, Gold, Black, White all with a Maple Leaf Pattern.
3. 2mm Thin Board - This board is more suitable as a base for display or transport. Available in rounds, squares, rectangles and customised sizes. Colors: Silver and Gold all with a Maple Leaf Pattern.
4. 1.5mm Metalux Board - A shiny board with no pattern for the more cost conscious. Available in rounds, squares, rectangles and customised sizes. Colors: Silver only.
